Advertising policy

How CrowRush keeps advertising recognisable, responsible and separate from play.

Pink Crow beside the advertising policy

1. Our approach

Advertising may help fund CrowRush, but it must not be disguised as gameplay or editorial content. Ads will be clearly separated and labelled “Advertisement” or “Ad” before or at the point a person engages with them.

2. Children and younger audiences

Because CrowRush may appeal to children, we apply heightened care. Advertising directed at younger children must use prominent, age-appropriate disclosures and must not exploit inexperience, loyalty, fear or social pressure. We will not directly urge a child to buy, ask another person to buy, or make spending necessary to avoid unreasonable disadvantage.

3. Targeting and personalisation

We do not permit behavioural advertising based on a child’s profile. Where consent is legally required, personalised advertising and advertising measurement will remain off until valid consent is obtained. Visitors must be able to reject optional advertising technologies as easily as they accept them and later change their choice.

4. Ad placement and rewards

Ads must not imitate game controls, obscure important information, cause accidental clicks or interrupt safety information. If rewarded ads are introduced, the reward and action required will be explained before viewing; refusing an ad will not remove something already purchased. Frequency limits and child-appropriate defaults must be documented before launch.

5. Restricted content

We do not knowingly accept ads for gambling, alcohol, tobacco or nicotine, weapons, pornography, illegal products, deceptive schemes, or other material inappropriate for the expected audience. Age-restricted advertising must not be directed at under-18s or placed where children form a significant part of the audience.

6. Sponsored and creator content

Paid partnerships, gifted promotions and affiliate links under our control will carry a prominent “Ad” label. Editorial coverage and independent reviews are not advertising merely because they discuss CrowRush.

7. Data and providers

Advertising providers may process device, interaction and approximate-location information as described in our Privacy Policy. Before launch we will publish the provider names, purposes, retention and controls, complete the required privacy and children’s-risk assessments, and activate optional tags only after the relevant choice.

8. Reporting an ad

Report an inappropriate, misleading or poorly labelled ad to [email protected]. Include the date, page or level, platform and a screenshot if safe to do so. We will investigate and may block the advertiser or campaign.
